What To Know About Calling Lake Tahoe Home

If you are buying Incline Village, NV homes for sale in 2020, there are a few details you should know about, especially if living in a mountain town is a new experience for you. We get a lot of travelers who love Lake Tahoe so much that they can’t wait to either relocate or call it home half the year. Buying property in a second home, resort market is a lot different than buying in a suburban area and for a few reasons.

We get a lot of tourists! In fact, a lot of homeowners start out as tourists as mentioned above. However, when you visit Lake Tahoe for brief periods of time or only during certain seasons where things may be a bit slow, you don’t get the full picture of what it is like to live in a tourist town ALL year around. We absolutely love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything, but there are a few things to keep in mind like limited parking, more traffic, longer wait times at restaurants, beaches, ski runs, grocery stores and more. When searching for Incline Village, NV real estate, knowing the heavy traffic times of each season helps you dial in what exactly you want. Do you want to be walking distance to your favorite amenities, so you don’t have to deal with driving? Or do you not mind dealing with extra congestion? If you are relocating for half the year and your outdoor amenity of choice is enjoying the local beaches and trails, ask your Incline Village, NV Realtor to show you properties that are walking distance to these features. If skiing and all things winter is your reason for calling Lake Tahoe home, ask your Incline Village, NV Realtor to show you properties that are either ski in/ski out or in a location minutes from local resorts.
